Marakwet Girls Foundation aims to protect the girl child from the Marakwet communities from FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) and early marriages. The foundation seeks to empower the girl child in terms of education and opportunities thus creating a better world for them to live in.

The developed brand concept pays homage to the community and its support for the girl child. The hand represents the community’s support and the face represents the girl child. The end result shows a sketched face of a Marakwet lady whose beads make up the shape of a hand that is supporting her.
